What is a typical cost for catering?


We have gotten one quote, first at $9000 and the second near $7000. The second one doesn’t include alcohol. They’re budgeting for 100 people currently, but with covid, we’ll likely have 50 or less.
The food cost is about $5000 (in the $7000) quote, but they’ve added so many extras
For example, our wedding is about 35 min from downtown, and 15 minutes outside the city itself. They are charging $400 for mileage alone.
Is this normal? Should we ask about it? A $400 mileage charge seems insane!
