Cash bar Question

Helen, on June 20, 2019 at 22:11 Posted in Before the wedding 0 4

Hi ladies,

I am just wondering for 180 guests, how much liquor (type as well) did you buy for your cash/toonie bar and did you have a set drink menu?

There are lots of charts online that give guidelines to how much alcohol you would need per the number of guests you will be having. I think you don't have to have a set drink menu but you don't need to be making crazy cocktails like long island ice teas! Just keep it simple!

Hi Helen! If you go to Costco Liquor (you don’t need a membership for the Liquor store) I believe they have a chart there for how much to buy for weddings! Ask the employee, they should be able to help you! The nice thing about Costco is you can also return any unopened Liquor within 30 days!

I went to an LCBO which i think in Alberta its a liquor mart- You would go in and say this is type of booze you want, this is number of people your expecting. My last event which was for 250 people had the following booze:

    8 whiskey

    2 rum

    6 vodka

    6 trays coolers

20 cases of beer (we chose what would get drank the most and ordered that)

We had 170 people show up out of that amount and we returned the following:

    1 rum

    4 whiskey

    2 vodka

    3 trays coolers

    no beer to return

We will be listing all the mix and what we have for liquore/beer.

A chart of many varieties is available online to show you how many guests to buy for and make sure you do go online for LCBO special event license to get all your purchases made on the one day. There is a $35 charge.

I have to do the same for 50 guests next month putting a surprise birthday party for my husband.

All your guests may drink what you have and know if some like beer or flavoured drinks.

The list I'm looking at is:

3 bottles each of Red & White wines

    Gin

    Vodka

    Rye

    Whiskey

    Pop/Juice/Clamato

Any bottles left closed can be returned to the store for full refund. I will be getting that done so I don't feel any cost has been added over.

Base the prices per bottle and ml wise. See what your total will be altogether based the alcohol consumption per person too.
