Canadian Honeymoon

Alexandra, on December 17, 2021 at 07:43 Posted in Honeymoon 0 6
Any suggestions for a Canadian honeymoon in the winter? We are getting married in February and had planned to go to Costa Rica but that doesn’t currently look promising so looking for some back up options.

Bonus points if it’s in Quebec or Ontario because our current trip is mostly non refundable so not having flights would be great! 😅

I agree! I think both Quebec City and Niagara on the Lake are so romantic- we are actually thinking of doing the same instead of our original plan of visiting castles in England, Scotland and Wales....

My husband and I have done Niagara-on-the-lake in February and it was great. Stayed in a B-and-B.

Or what about Quebec City? We honeymooned there in the summer. Picturesque as well as there is ile-d'orleans and Mont St Anne (for skiing) nearby.

It's ice wine season so hitting up Niagara for a wine tour could be fun if you're into wines. They also have a lot of dine and play hotel packages with spa amenities. The falls itself is gorgeous during the winter when the waters are frozen and you can also shop at the outlets.

Even in the harshest of winters, Toronto is a pretty easy vacation destination. Our underground PATH system connects a good chunk of downtown. As long as we're not in lockdown, there is quite a bit to see and do in the city. At the very least we have a very diverse culinary experience that can satisfy your inner foodie.

Hey Alexandra. I would suggest looking at AirBNB and look at their unique experiences. Maybe you could find a cute getaway close to your location (maybe like a treehouse or something a little different rather than a hotel). I hope this helps Smiley smile

My fiancé and I recently went to Montreal and we went to Tremblant to the Scandinavian spa. It was nice and that would be a nice area in the winter!
