Hey everyone,

My wedding is August 3, 2019. I am hoping to get some advice from anyone in the area for wedding planners and decorating companies. I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg. Ideally, someone working independently but with experience would be perfect. My wedding is at Shaughnessy golf and country club. I’ll need some help with decor ideas and of course, day of organizing. Anyone have any suggestions? I’m also looking for an event rental company for candle holders, vases, etc. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks in advance. Smiley smile

    We’re getting married in Victoria but interviewed some Vancouver planners before we chose are venue. We both really liked Christy at Umbrella Events. She wold have been our choice if we were getting married in Vancouver. She’s on WW.

    i am to be married the same day as you, in Vancouver! I’m doing A LOT of researching. We should connect and chat more! I’m getting married at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club. Still looking for most of my vendors and would like to keep costs low too!

    Thanks Joey. I have definitely done a fair bit bit of searching through wedding wire’s vendors. It’s a great resource to have. I was hoping to get some personal feedback from brides in the area too. 🙂

    Hi Amie! If you have not checked it out yet, be sure to look through WeddingWire's vendor tab, where you can read reviews and view ratings from real couples who have used the companies, in addition to seeing photos of their work and being able to send them pricing requests.

    I went with Chic & Unique Events for my decor rental (I'm doing candle centerpieces). They seemed reasonably priced for Vancouver (downside is they're located in Maple ridge, do it's a bit of a trek for a consultation). I shopped around a bit for a day of coordinator and went with Elle Weddings (got the best feel for them and they did a friend's wedding). Hope that helps!
