I prefer the look of stacked cakes versus the others. What are we having? I have no idea!

I don't mind stacked, though it is a bit much to look at if it exceeds three tiers. I personally want a two-tiered cake. Separate sometimes looks nice too!

The cake will be a 3 tiered, stacked (bottom tier is fake), and then we'll have multiple heights of platforms for the mini cupcakes (the guests' dessert). We're preserving our top tier, and the "cut" tier is going to be given to immediate family/bridal party.

3 tier stacked cake. It was small and perfect to feed the family.

We are doing stacked tiers- only two though. One will be lemon and one red velvet!

We're not doing cake or cupcakes at our wedding, opting to only serve the desserts from the venue. That being said, I really like the separated cakes across a table.

I guess it's not the coolest but I love a traditional stacked wedding cake. And I love cake, so we're not going with anything else, although out venue has dessert included with our meal, so there will also be a sorbet trio, a crepe station, and various pastries.

We did the cupcake tower with a small cake on top for the cutting ceremony.

If we do anything. it will just be a small 6 or 8 inch round to get cheesy cake cutting photos.

probably will make a decision before the wedding. our venue comes with dessert. no need to have a large cake and be charged the cutting fee.

We will be doing something else as well. Just one tier for the wedding cake so that we can do the cake cutting ceremony and then we will not only be having a s'mores bar, but we also plan on having dainties like peanut butter marshmallow squares, nanaimo bars, and butter tarts!

We're actually planning to forego a wedding cake...If we do end up getting one, it will be a crepe/mille cake that we'll just buy the day before. Super simple and fresh for our brunch wedding!
