WOW, I'm glad I looked at this and thank you for posting the question. I just landed on a quote of $7 to $15 per person. That would be $560 to $1,200 for me. I am trying to get an accurate budget going and there's no way the fiance would agree to that price! I'll keep looking

I've been making wedding cakes for over a decade
This is a good price

The price quoted seems good for what you're getting at the baker. I paid in whole $400 for 3 tiers and assorted pastries with delivery included. It worked out good and just a bit more than what you're paying. We had 72 guests.

That price seems crazy to me but we never had to get any quotes for cakes cause our friend works at a bakery and she is doing our cake for us Everyone else seems to agree that this price is average

It varies per bakery. Some could charge $20 delivery, some nothing and some, like yours, $100.
We are having our cake done by a family member how is a baker and cake decorator so it's free of charge so I'm not really sure what the average costs of cakes are but like I mentioned it probably varies per bakery.
If you are really unsure then I'd definitely keep looking around and getting more quotes!

I think that's a pretty great price! We didn't get a naked or semi naked, but it's still very simple, just textured buttercream and flowers we're providing, and we're paying $500 plus delivery ($50). Our options were limited though because I wanted one gluten free tier (for me)

It really depends on the business individually. For a 20 person cake I was quoted between $250- $300 just because it was a "wedding" cake.

I have a client who also does wedding cakes who is charging just over $100.

So maybe look for smaller bakeries instead of big ones if you are looking for something less expensive

I would say its a good deal! I tried to get this and they started a lot higher pretty similar in pricing as Allison mentioned- most places where I live charge per slice -.- which was $7-15... is the 35 min distance from their exact location? Most I have seen were 50-100 for delivery. but they were farther away.

Also just an idea, consider going to bakeries that don't specialize in wedding cakes if you aren't looking for something crazy elaborate. We were quoted at a bridal show for 60 cupcakes and a single tier cake (with no extra details like the fondant flowers) starting at $500+

We went with a local bakery that was happy to help for 60 cupcakes and a single tier cake only cost us $200 and we get three flavours

I would say that's fairly reasonable in comparison to the quotes that I've gotten for a single tier cake.

My single tier cake quotes were roughly $40-$50 so if you consider the fact that your 2nd and 3rd tiers would cost more I add $50+$70+$90 = $210 and that is guessing on what it costs for bigger tiers as I don't know how much more a layer would be as it wouldn't be the same size as the top tier.

I think that that is good, but the only way to know is get quotes from a few different bakers.
