Cake in Canmore?

I’m getting married in Canmore on July 15, 2023 and planning from Calgary for 70.

I’ve been searching for a wedding cake vendor, but the only one I am seeing is Kake and I would like other options. Smiley winking Can anyone recommend someone for wedding cakes?

And on a different note, has anyone picked up their tiered cake and delivered it themselves to the venue? One of the vendors in Calgary said that we would only qualify for delivery if we spent $1000. I don’t like cake THAT much.

    Ive seen a few posts asking this in the FB groups I'm in so here are some alternatives (they may not be based in Canmore but will deliver there, not sure on pricing tho)

    I don’t think there is anyone else unfortunately.. I’m getting married in Banff next August and I have only found the one which is Kakes by Darci. I’ve reached out to 4 different vendors I booked with on cake recommendations and they all only gave me the one which is Kakes.

    You may luck out if you are having a hotel wedding and they will make it in house but besides that, they are the only ones in the Banff/Canmore area. After that you gotten look in Calgary.

    I just looked them up because my cousin used them for her wedding but I guess they closed down. I would maybe see if you can find someone in banff?

    I agree! Especially, if it’s as hot next year as it has this year.

    I have only found the one baker. Would like more options.

    Is there another baker you can look at who offers delivery service for a lower price? Maybe someone in Banff or something?

    I'm concerned how your cake will survive the 1.5hr drive from Calgary to Canmore in July when it's hot.
