We were originally going to go with blueberry and limoncello, but the baker that we were talking to suggested going with blackberry and made a sample specially for us and it was amazing! We're doing chocolate with peanut butter in the middle and vanilla buttercream (my favourite). My fiance does not have a big sweet tooth at all but requested carrot cake with cream cheese icing so we are doing that as our second option

We're doing a vanilla cake with strawberry filling and rosette piping on the outside. This is for our "picture cutting cake". For the guests, we'll have a grocery bought full slab cake (most likely a fruit torte cake) with buttercream filling as well.

Have you asked if any of your guests have allergies or food restrictions? Those limitations might help you to narrow down the many options available out there.
Time of year can also be helpful. Any in season fruit is going to taste amazing as a cake flavour as well.

We did Baci (hazelnut-chocolate) and strawberry filling with vanilla sponge and whipped cream icing. Each tier was the same flavour.

We didn't do cake-cake, but if we had here are my fav's: Chocolate, carrot cake (with raisins and pecans/walnuts), pistachio cake, funfetti cake, and then poppyseed cake!

We are leaning towards cupcakes in the crowd pleasing vanilla and chocolate with a few lemon. We might throw a 4th flavor in after we try a few!
If you're doing tiers you couldake the largest ones the most popular flavors and the smaller ones the more daring combos. Cupcakes could also allow you to have some safe and some fun ones.

Lemon cake is a good one I like. I'm leaning towards that myself. Also a real butter cream frosting is a must in my books.

Our wedding colours are purple and yellow, so we chose blackberry and limoncello for the mini cake we'll cut😍 we're also having cupcakes, which will be mocha, caramel, and coconut-lime

Ours are still pretty basic but we are doing vanilla and red velvet! 😊 We did strongly consider dulce de leche though, and that seems to be a crowd pleaser.
