Buffet and children

Melissa, on May 9, 2017 at 12:16 Posted in Wedding reception 0 6

We are having a buffet for our wedding, the caterer charges half price for children under 10.

my question is: do i need to include any children under 3 who really arent gonna eat a whole plate worth in my head count for food?

What did you do?

I wouldn't count kids under 3 years old. They will eat of their parents plate if anything.

Definitely ask, my venue was originally 10 and under half price, but with more proving under 2 (I think) is free! good luck!

I would inform your caterer. For example, 100 total but 10 are under ten and 5 others are under 3. They would be able to give you the best advice.

I would ask as well. It will make things easier for your caterer.

I would ask your vendor because they will do their own count and you don't want to be surprised. If they say children under ten cost X but don't specify children under a certain age are free they are likely expecting you to include them.
