Budget for gifts

Sarah, on March 6, 2020 at 10:31 Posted in Before the wedding 0 10
How much are you guys spending on gifts for your bridal parties? Parents?
I was thinking $100 on my girls give or take but I’m seeing people are paying for the dresses, hair make up etc and now I’m rethinking things!!

Paying for the bridal party hair/make up is enough if your wanting that route. Giving them a gift is an alternative to the hair/make up of the cost that would be equivalent. One or the other seems just right to make their day special celebrating by your side. We gave cologne sets to the Best Manx2 and perfume sampler set to the 2 MOHs which didn't cost us nothing yet the tax only. The total for each person was about $80 + tax about $100. Shoppers points helped to pay for the gifts by itself.

We're doing $150 for each girl (only two of them ☺️). I bought necklaces for them that match my earrings and am knitting shawls for them as well. They picked the pattern for the latter gift, so it's not much of a surprise!

    We did $75/person since we had 5 girls, 5 boys, 3 dads, and 2 moms. = $1,125

    HI Sarah,

I am going to offer for my girls to have their hair\makeup done. 💄

I was really surprised at how much gift giving there is in a wedding. From the bride and groom, to the parents, flowers girls est.....

I still have to discuss this with my FH, because I myself, just heard about this gift giving frenzy. 😩😩

I spent $105 on each bridesmaid. Not sure about parent gifts yet!

Gifts for my 3 girls were $140 each. I'm paying for their hair and gifting them a robe for getting ready, a pashmina to wear if it's cold, and some Body Shop goodies. Don't have a clue what we're doing for our parents yet though - I can't think of anything good but I feel like they'd insist on keeping it affordable for us so maybe $50-$75 each.

I'm spending about $150 each on their gifts, plus I bought their shoes and shawls, and will pay for hair and make up if we chose to have a professional, i still havent decided. All they had to pay for was their dress which was $100.

I don't think there's a rule about it, I agree with Kelsie that you should only spend what you're comfortable with.

We aren't having a wedding party but for our parents we might spend about $50 each on jewelry and keepsakes.

My only member of my bridal party is my sister - I bought her dress and hair and make up for the day. So I'm coming in over $500 - but keep in mind, thats my sister. My brother in law will be about the same - we gave him a cigar humidor and cigars and we're paying for his suit.

I think you should spend whatever you feel comfortable doing, whether its $100 or $500, I'm sure your party will appreciate it.
