Buck & Does Do's and Dont's!

Taylor, on March 3, 2018 at 16:50 Posted in Before the wedding 0 4

Hello Everyone!

The next step that my fiancé, bridal party and I have started to tackle is the buck and doe!

I want to know others experiences with theirs or if you chose to skip that part! I'd love to know anyone's ideas for what the best games were or what games or raffles made the most money, as well as what things can be done without!

We have lots of ideas and we are planning ours for June, and our wedding is in September, we are just narrowing down our favourites but I am looking forward to your thoughts Smiley smile

Thank you!

We're not doing a buck and doe but my fiancé is doing a stag. He plans to just hire a company to arrange all the games and whatnot (casino-type games).

For our stag and doe we are having draws for 3 large door prizes (Maple Leaf tickets, $500 LCBO gift card and TBD), we will do a 50/50 draw as well which everyone says is a huge money maker. My MOH went to a wedding where at their stag and doe they had guests enter a draw to be "contestants" for a game of jeopardy where all the questions related to the couple and whoever won got a $500 cash prize so we have been considering something like this as well. We were considering having a "pie in the face" game where there would be two cups, one for "save the bride" and one for "save the groom" whichever one raised the most money between the two got to shove a pie in the other ones face.

We were advised to not have a themed party because people spend less if there is a theme which we didn't know.

Raffles for sure. Tickets sold by arm length or full arms end to end. 50/50 draw, games with toonie near the booze bottle. Those are some ideas.

Though it was a buck and buck done for us by friends and MOHs. It was fun fie sure.
