Brunch for the Reception

Breanna, on January 20, 2020 at 17:55 Posted in Wedding reception 0 11

Has anyone done, or is doing brunch for the reception?

Our wedding is saturday afternoon, and reception is sunday morning/afternoon.
I'm a little nervous about this decision, we did it to save cash. What did you do/ are going to do? What are your plans? WHAT IS YOUR CAKE? LOL!

A friend had a lemon bunt cake for their cake at their brunch reception. They had it already sliced and boxed as favors and sent it home with guests. The cake cutting was like their last hoorah moment before their send off.

They had a cute "love you a brunch" theme to the day. Mimosas, and traditional brunch foods like waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns.

The pancake idea is super cute! A stack of waffles or french toast would work too. Or you could go with a more breakfast-y loaf of banana or lemon bread.

My friend did a brunch at the old mill. she did a 3 course lunch with lots of desserts and her wedding cake was cut and served and we had lots of coffee tea and wine. so it still felt weddingy but it was just early in the day!

We're planning to do serve yourself; just having a bunch of different toppings & fruit for them.

How are you doing the waffle bar? I love the idea. Do you have someone "maning" it or is it a serve yourself?

I would love to be invited to a wedding brunch. The colourful fruits, waffles, french toast with icing sugar to make it look pretty, mini muffins and mimosas how could you go wrong? Breakfast is my favourite meal to share with my good friends.

I'm having a brunch wedding on a Sunday afternoon too! We're hoping to have a waffle bar 😊 my fiancé & I both love breakfast food the most so it made sense for us. I love brunch weddings so much.

Don’t hate me for the pun but you could have a big stack of panCAKES! I think it’sa neat and innovative idea (and you have lots of time to leave for your honeymoon!)
