That's fantastic. I am having someone coming to my house to do our hair so I will cover that bill. The gemstone idea is great. Have you looked for your bridesmaid dresses yet?

-groomsmen suits but they're all buying thier own
-linen rentals as my initial choice bailed :-(

For my girls I was thinking of getting our nails together and footing the bill. But also getting them little necklaces with different gem stones! Was going to put me at about 50~

I found that the infinity or multi wrap dresses are amazing. There is a way to wear it flattering for every body type. I have 2 girls with me. One shirt and tiny in every way and the other taller than me and beautifully voluptuous. It's the same dress (which I'm shocked) and they look stunning and but in their own way. They come in like 25 colours and 25 different way to wrap them.

Having some troubles getting all of my bridesmaids to pick their dresses...any suggestions as to how to encourage them without sounding like a bridezilla!
(they each get to pick their own style and can order from one of two sites and I’ve asked them to have their dress picked out and ordered by April 1st and to post a picture on our Facebook page so they can see each others choices so they don’t double up...3 of the 6 have done it so far and two of them are my daughters so I made them! Lol)

I was warned about marriage commissioners being booked a year and a half out on Vancouver Island when we got engaged. There should be a separate annotation in wedding planning lists for people marrying on Vancouer Island, like did you get engaged?

Step 1. Call parents

Step 2. Call a commisioner/officiant

We made our date Friday June 15th to work around this issue.

There are comissioners listed on the government website For comissioners in your area. Their prices are standardized. There are waaay more officiants out there than comissioners, so make sure you search online for officiants to find more results. The pricing for officiants will be different.

Also, it is pretty common on the island to ask a religious officiant/celebrant to do a non-religious ceremony, ensure they are clear on your expectations.

June 23, victoria, bc, finally booked makeup artist. Still need to do the cake tasting and choose a cake design. Made the mistake of doing decor myself, desperately running out of time starting to freak out the weekends and evenings are going by so fast I fear I won't have it all done in town. Thankfully I decided to hire an event coordinator for the week of. And just finally put in my order for my invitations. I know cutting it close.
