Bride vs. Groom: Who announced the engagement first?

I did to my family and cousins.

We told our parents at the same time but he was the one who announced publicly

I did ..it's more of my family and friends and of course I was excited to shout about it. My kids were the first to know

He had told his family ahead of time that he was planning on asking me during our week vacation, and then from there we made the first announcements in person or on the phone together to our family and closest friends, then several days later we announced on Facebook within moments of each other lol

He had already told his family, my family and some of our friends that he was asking me... I posted on Facebook a week later.

We made all of the family phone calls together and announced it together. On social media, at the time of the engagement my fiance didn't have facebook and so I announced it on there!

I told my mum right after it happened so I guess I announced it first. We also told his whole family together that afternoon.
