Bride survival kit

Dannie & Brett, on March 7, 2017 at 14:26 Posted in Before the wedding 0 8
Hey everyone! Dannie here. I've done research and have found several ideas for the wedding day survival kit, however can someone maybe give me ideas of what should go into the brides handbag and what goes into the MOH bag? Thanks!

Thanks! All the ideas suggested are great. It's definitely a good idea to have something. I will have a small one and my moh will have a bigger one. Lol

In addition to all of the other great ideas i would say a mini deodorant and perfume/body mist. Especially if its in the summer, you want to smell nice and fresh on your wedding day, I know I will be making a little kit for myself on my day Smiley smile

Sewing kit is a very very good idea. My friend busted out of her wedding dress and luckily the photographer had a kit to sew her into her dress lol!

My BF had a survival kit in the bathrooms at the reception for anyone to use... I thought it was a great idea, imagine the one in the mens was slightly different.

It's always good to have extra fashion tape! I used some for the straps of my dress but after a few hours, I needed more. My mom carried it in her purse for me so I could replace them later in the night! You also might want to bring extra cell phone chargers or backup batteries because you and/or your wedding party will be taking lots of pics! My MOH had a tote bag that we threw everything in and picked it up after the ceremony and brought to the reception. Extra tissue packs are also a great idea because there's bound to be happy tears!

My bridal shop gave me a little "survival" kit with my dress which was super thoughtful! It had things like mints and safety pins in it and while we didn't end up needing it, it was great to know we had it just in case!

I also asked my makeup stylist after the trial which lipstick they'd be using on me so that I could buy one and use it to reapply throughout the night.

Also you might want to bring flats to change into! I got my bridesmaids foldable flats as their wedding gift and they came in a pouch so it easily fit in a purse or bag. I bought a pair for myself and I'm so glad I did! I made it almost the whole night in my heels but towards the end, I had to cave and I was so glad to have them!

    My must-haves:

    Lipstick for touch up

    Blotting sheets

Sewing kit- My sister's bustle broke, and thank goodness the photographer was prepared for ANYTHING and had a sewing kit. She really saved the day!

    Mints

A few baby wipes (sounds awful, but consider how hot your lady bits will be under your dress....I think wipes would be nice to freshen up is a good idea)

I'm sure others will have lots of things to add, but those are my top items!
