That's what I think is most important to me too! Is having all of the ladies I love in one room! So awesome! Backyard party sounds lovely. I think we are going to do something similar for our engagement party. Sounds like it will be a lovely shower for you. Smiley smile

I'll be having a shower . No idea when yet. I went to a wedding shower in October and they have a few different games. The wheel of love, and what's in your phone ( instead of what's in your phone ) super cute.
As far who you invite, I've heard some people invite ladies who are coming to the wedding, in addition to some that would not have made the invitation list. In my opinion, that's a big no no! My family would lose their minds ! Lol Some think if they are not good enough to go to wedding then they shouldn't be invited to the shower to get a gift . It's like a slap in the face.
Not sure how long before the wedding do you have a shower ? Have you found out?

Oh and I forgot to mention that my MOH did a theme for the gifts and kept it a surprise from me. The theme was "Date Night" which is a great idea! I thought you might be interested in that since you said you don't have a big registry. We got movie gift cards, restaurant gift cards, cookbooks, board games, a massage class, etc. It was really thoughtful because it gives us stuff to do after the wedding when funds are tight!

I haven't been asked, and haven't thought about it but we really don't need anything so not sure that I really want one. I did help plan one for my MOH when she got married. We had finger foods and played different games with prizes for the guests. A fun game to play during the gift opening (if you like it) is bingo where the gifts received dictate what u mark on ur card. Another fun game is where the host lists objects and you get points if you have them in ur purse. The one with the most points gets a prize. I've attended them in people's houses or in halls.

My sister and MOH planned my shower for me. It was a tea party and we hosted it at a local restaurant. It was so nice to get so many of my different friends and family together and the food and tea were amazing! We invited all the ladies that were invited to the wedding as well as a few other friends that weren't able to attend the wedding and some coworkers.

We didn't play games but my sister made a picture frame and got some fun props so we all had a great time taking pictures! She also made a Mad Lib that we all filled out and that was one of my favourite parts! My husband and I always do Mad Libs together so it was really special.

No I havent really talked to them about it, they just asked what month I would perfer due to scheduling with all the other wedding activities .. I am leaving it all up to my mom and my MOH ... one thing I get to sit back and relax and be surprised about! I just have to hand over a guest list with names and addresses !

I requested no shower because it was getting far too complicated before we even started; my mom wanted to throw one and invite mostly her friends who are not invited to the wedding. FMIL wanted to throw one in her VERY TINY bachelor apartment, which is cramped enough when it's just her, FH and I visiting, I politely declined (plus she was just using it as an excuse to try and get FSIL to come since they haven't spoken in years). MOH offered but didn't know who to invite because our guests are coming in from so many places, so I just said not to worry about it, I don't need one anyways.

I have asked not to have a shower- We don't need things, and won't until we buy a house in a couple of years (and have nowhere to store stuff until then!)...and I just can't ask for money instead, I know some people of done it, but not my style.

I DID throw one for my sister- and we invited all of the ladies who were invted to her wedding, and a few of her coworkers who had asked to attend came. We were not inviting people who were not invited to the wedding...but they asked, so hey! My mom also invited a few of her friends.

We set up a mimosa and ceasar bar, played a jewel hunt game, the clothes pin game and a romantic movie quote game (throught the gift opening, to break up that part for the guests).

I had mini burgers (beef and chicken), bread with different savoury spreads, cupcakes..... I don't remeber what else we served.

We held it at my parent's house, because it was summer (July 2016) and they have a nice big back yard. We had lots of lounge chairs and tents for shade....honestly, I think I put on a pretty good party!

I plan to have a bridal shower. I am having close friends and family come to it! Usually the bridal party is the one who organizes the bridal shower but I have a feeling because I like to be in control that I will help :p

We will probably have finger foods like mini sandwiches, veggie trays, fruit trays...really easy things and then cupcakes!

We will likely do it at my venue because we get to use the space for free for booking with them for the wedding. If you call any hall or community centre they would be able to tell you how much it costs to rent the space and what not.

We will probably have a few different fun games and activities to do - You can find a whole whack of different games online!

Hi Natasha, I will be having a bridal shower in July. My MOH is organizing it for me. We are only having family, close friends and the bridal party attending. As for activities it's not been decided on as of yet. I have to ones where they give presents and use the gift wrap to make a dress, ribbons and bows to create a hat and serve food. I have also been to a Jack and Jill shower (Stag and Doe), there was food, gifts, playing video games and I sang for the bride-to-be. It was a lot of fun attending the showers.
