Bridal shower / Bachelorette party

Janaya, on January 25, 2019 at 15:24 Posted in Before the wedding 0 12

Hey! So I will most likely be planning my own bridal shower..& bachelorette (there's a bunch of reasons why this is but too little time to get into it) so I'm curious when I should have it. I'm getting married August 3rd, 2019 , and we will be sending out our wedding invitations the 1st of April and asking for rsvp by July 1st. My question is; When should I have the shower? a month or two before the wedding? like in June? idk what to do exactly but i'm really excited about it! and also with the bachelorette party? when should that happen?!

My bridal shower is taking place exactly 2 months before our wedding on a Sunday! We will have basic games and some light snacks. It's a pretty low key event for us. And then my bachelorette is taking place the day before because a few of my bridesmaids don't arrive until the day before! And we are just doing the spa, food, rehearsal and more food! lol Best of luck!!!

I don't think there is any real time line you need to follow. I had a surprise bridal shower in September I believe. My bachelorette party will be the weekend before the wedding, my sister/MOH really wants to be there and that us when she is flying out.

Hey almost date twin! My wedding is on August 4, 2019, and my bridal shower will be May 26th. As for my bachelorette party, I'm thinking some time in June but I have to be sure it doesn't conflict with a friends bridal shower.

I'm thinking the shower could happen any time before the wedding but most put theirs a month or two before the wedding. In that sense I would choose end of June, as July 1st is Canada Day and any closer and for me it would be cutting it too close. Maybe aim for either the weekend of the 15th or 22nd?

For the bachelorette I would say that it depends on the type of party you are having - but since you mentioned supper and drinks I would say a weekend or two before the wedding. Aim for July 20th or the 27th.

If I were you I’d do the Bridal shower in May and the Bachelorette late June or early July. But you can do it whenever work better for you Summer can be tricky to compete with other events so do whatever works best for you! Don’t worry about the others, the ones that matter will take the time for you!

That's awesome that's the first time ever hearing about a Bride doing this, It's almost so good at least no one can tell you holy cow that's alot of people . Good for you. I'm thinking May Bridal Shower & June for your Bachelortte party giving everyone time to answer you back.

I agree, I would have the shower a month or two before the wedding. The bachelorette can be anytime up to the weekend before the wedding.

I will likely be doing both in the same weekend since I'd have to go to my hometown for both. I couldn't imagine doing it a weekend before the wedding, I'd be too stressed out about it!

I'm not sure how far in advance to have the bridal shower, though I believe bachelorette parties are a few days before (or the weekend prior to) the wedding.

I would have the shower a month or two before hand. People normally have it a month before depending how busy they are. I would plan to have the bach a few weeks later or before. This way gives people time in between.

The shower- depending on size, you could have an outdoor one if you want or you could do it at a local curling club. Its normally $100 to rent and then you set up and clean up there.

Is your bridal party at all helping with the bach? I would give few different options and let them pick something that works with their budget too. This is what I did but either way I was happy because wanted to do all options!
