We went to Home Outfitters in our city and asked a few questions and then started scanning things right away. It was very easy to set up. Once we completed it we added the registry link to our wedding website. We did the registry quite early so some things are now discontinued. Because of this, we are going to go there one more time and add a few more things. We could do it online as well but it's easier to do it in store.

Check out MyRegistry.com -- you can link to other registries (mostly in the states) but you can choose anything online to add - it's pretty awesome! So you can have a selection of items from different stores instead of a registry at multiple stores.

Amazon was a good choice, Bethany. I never even thought of a registry because we already have 2 combined households.

Only get a registry of you actually want the stuff that's on it. Lol Some prefer monetary gifts, so if you that's what you prefer don't have a registry! (Some put monetary gifts appreciated on an invite and to me it's the tackiest thing ever). If you can make it out to a Bridal Show in your area, sign up for a registry there.l!!! You usually get some sort of free swag AND usually a registry evening at the store which usually has food and wine (I don't drink but the food and desserts are just fine Smiley smile)! I'm doing this exact thing next weekend lol The Bay and Bed Bath and Beyond are one of the easiest because you can return your gifts if you want to and they will put the credit on a gift card in the event you don't know what you want right away!!

There are so many options! It can be hard to choose! The first step, I would say, is deciding what you would actually like to receive - household items, decorations, linens, travel vouchers, etc. Once you know what you want, you can narrow down places to register. Amazon is great for odds and ends, but you can do honeymoon registries and ask for travel gift cards (I think Delta has a program where you can buy gift cards for people).

We registered with honeyfund.com for excursions for our honeymoon since we don't really need stuff (we merged 2 houses when we moved in together, so we have 2 of everything already).

You can register almost anywhere these days so think of some things you want or need and go from there. We registered with The Bay and created a Wish List on Amazon.ca that people could access.

We did our registries at Homeoutfitters and then a second one at Bed bath and beyond. I don't know what type of stores you have in British Columbia. We picked probably two of the more popular registries for weddings out where I am. Another one we have is the bay, but everything there is very expensive.

Hi there Cristina! To begin setting up your bridal registry you need to first choose the stores where you will register. You could do an assessment of what you have and what you need, and choose your stores based on the type of items you hope to receive. Then you can go to the store and meet with a registry consultant to get set up, or you can set up many registries online. Here are a few articles I pulled for you that might help.
