Bridal party gifts - day of, at the rehearsal, or both?

Cassandra, on July 27, 2017 at 15:56 Posted in Before the wedding 0 13

Sooo I've read so many different things and I want to hear your opinions on when to give your bridal party a thank-you gift?

I am giving my girls a necklace and earrings to wear the day of. I also got them a la vie en rose silky robe to get ready in in the morning. and also a super cute hanger to hang their dress on. But I really wanted to give that to them on the day of.

But I am just wondering if/what I should give the day of the rehearsal? I was thinking a coach or kate spade wrsitlit or something. Is that too much???

Also - any ideas for parents gifts? Not into to DIY btw.

I would say the rehersal dinner, just because you have so much to deal with ( remember) on your wedding day it's just one less stressful thing to think about :-)

This is usually a good website - you can choose so many different options to do (e.g. wine tasting for 2, an overnight, or other things). They have themes at the top - couple, adventure, golf, lifestyle - so you might find other good ideas too. Is there anything you know your dad likes / likes to do?

I think it totally depends on what you feel more comfortable with. My sister gave us our gifts at the rehearsal and I plan to do the same. She gave us a bracelet, kate spade purse, hangers with our names, and some other little things. It was totally cute and we brought them to my parents house the day of to get ready. I'd say price it out and see what's in your budget.

I'm planning to get my parents a getaway weekend to niagara on the lake because they love things like that. We haven't decided what to do for my in-laws yet.

    Hi Cassandra!

Little gifts are always a nice token of appreciation to your bridesmaids. Here are some ideas:

    Gift for your bridesmaids

    Bridesmaids gifts

    Bridesmaids gifts

Is your groom also handing out gifts to his groomsmen? Smiley gift

I gave her earrings to wear the day of, nail polish, face mask, and a Tarte eyeshadow palette. Put it in a cute little box with tissue paper.

Not into diy hahaha me either!! I think you got them a lot. I don't think you need to get them another little something for the rehearsal, unless you have your heart set on it already. If you really want to give something at the rehearsal and the day of, why not split up your gifts. Give them the hanger and the robe at the rehearsal so they can hang their dress on it the whole night, and jump into the robe first thing in the morning. Then give the jewelry the next day for them to wear?

I struggled with this too, but ended up giving my MOH her gift a few weeks ago, kind of as a Will you be my MOH, kind of thing. We're also getting married 4 hours from home and it would be one less thing to for us to pack.

I don't see why you couldn't give them their gifts the morning of. That's what happened with both the weddings I've been in.

Either way, i'm sure they'll love them (with or without the added Kate Spade).
