I like the idea of chipping in for a wedding expense like hair or makeup, or even adding a little day of pampering. Getting married and being in a wedding are already so expensive that I don't see the point in adding an expense.
I was in a wedding where our gifts were our robes and our jewelry. Neither of which I have used in the last 2 years. I would have preferred if the bride had offered to pay for our time at the salon.

We budgeted for $60 per person. My FH hasn’t decided what to get the guys yet. But I got my bridesmaids Roots jogging pants (not your typical wedding-related gift but very fitting for us!), and a cute little personalized bracelet from Etsy. I bought the jogging pants during boxing week! We also have a friend officiating our ceremony and got her a Swarovski necklace when they had a good sale!

We did fuzzy socks, compact mirrors, a personalized bracelet to wear day-of, and a tote bag for bridesmaids and a personalized glass mug and tie clips to wear day-of for the groomsmen.

I can't remember what we spend on each person, but it was under $100 per person, but again the budget can be whatever you like!

For my bridesmaids, I will get them a nice piece of jewelry ($25 each?) and a small handmade beauty product gift set (the company is called "Beth and Olivia") ($15 each?) Of course pay for the cute robes (won't be anything too fancy) I think I will pay for their hair to be done for the wedding too. For my Fiance's groomsmen, he'll probably just do an engraved flask or personalized growler with some beer

Gifts don't have to be expensive or fancy, you just need to show your appreciation in some way

no matter how big or small =)

    Do you know which seller?

I've also been on the hunt for robes, but all the ones I have found have been crazy expensive and I have 6 bridesmaids, and not that kind of budget lol

I got ours on Etsy.com. Jeez you’d think I was a sales rep for them or something haha everything I get is from there! But it came in a box with a tumbler for around $25. Then I just added my own stuff

Where’d you get the robes? Mine were about $50 a piece for the robes alone 😭😭

We did about $400-500 per person.
The girls were doing Tiffany necklaces, robes and hangers. The boys we did watches.

Really though the budget is what you make it. Set a budget that you’re comfortable with and don’t go above it.

We spent 25-30 per person. I got our bridesmaids a personalized silk robe and tumbler in a cute little box with some artisan chocolates and ice coffee mix. My FH wanted to get his guys a personalized bottle opener with a bottle of their favourite alcohol. I was personally overwhelmed by all the options, I kept trying to make it personal for each person, but it can be really hard to consider everyone's interests especially if you have a large group.

Budget what you feel is sufficient for each bridesmaid. This way you can go the path of paying for their hair and make up or gifts they will use on daily basis. Jewelry is also another option that you give matching to the dresses for the day.

I only have a MOH so I will be paying for her hair and makeup. I also will be doing up a basket with some of her favourite scents/lotions from Bath & Bodyworks with a couple bottles of her favourite drink.

We got their jewellery they will use the day off and jewellery bowls to keep them in. We’ll probably get something else too but that’s all we have so far.

We spent $75/person for our wedding party people. For the girls I gave them IOU's/Date nights where I would/can take them out and buy them dinner and a movie, or they could use it towards a manicure or pedicure, or at this point since only 2/5 have taken me up on the offer I have offered to just give them cash Smiley tongue

They liked the idea of putting the money towards what they wanted and liked having a say instead of the gift being hair/makeup.
