Hey All!

Thinking of having engagement photos done at Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Ontario. Just curious if anyone has done this and has advice/tips and if we will need a photo permit?

Thanks!

Yes we got exactly the weather we hoped for! Smiley laugh I really wanted some pictures with lots of snow and forestry. It ended up being the one of the coldest days of the year (-17), but it was totally worth it for the snow capped trees and sunny skies!!

Oh that's awesome - if you don't mind sharing we'd LOVE to see some pics.

    Did you get good weather?

Yes! I ended up getting in contact with Blue Mountain - no need for a permit, just photographer must provide proof of insurance!

got the pictures done, everything went great! Couldn’t have asked for a better setting!

Hey Jennifer, when is your session scheduled for? Did your photographer advise you about getting a permit, or help you find a contact at the site who you could ask?

If you're on the resort, you most likely will need to get a permit - they probably have info on their website. If you're looking at parks or hiking trails in the area, I don't think you need a permit, but it's best to find out who manages the site (Ontario Parks, Grey County, etc.) and find out if you require a permit or not.
Gorgeous area - one of my faves for sure!
