Now that we decided to have a destination wedding the ceremony will have to be in english or it might be really complicated to find an officiant who can speak both!! but love the idea for the vows!!! i'll try to see if a friend can help me wirte and say that part properly cause it might be hard otherwise... need to practice!!

    Hi Jenn! Smiley heart

I think it depends how long your ceremony will be, where you will have it, and who will be your officiant.

If the ceremony is in English, as a sign of respect for his family, maybe you could have part of your vows in French so they understand the promess you making to their son. And same for him if the ceremony is in French. In all cases, I think you should ask your families what they would be ok with.

This is going to be a fun challenge for activities bringing both of your families together! Smiley smile

I think you should ask his family what they prefer. I understand having to adapt, but if no one minds the ceremony just being in english, why should you bother?

My friends had the same issue last year, they ended up doing a sort of “franglais” ceremony
