And how many registers should you have? heard 1 isn’t enough but not sure the best options! AND when should you start your registry before or after? are they the best option?
We went a little unconventional. We created a google doc as a registry. One of my bridesmaids is responsible for keeping it up to date. It has allowed us to add items from anywhere (I used a lot of examples and links). It helps ensure we don’t receive double. We can add to it anytime, we just send her a message. Also if anyone has questions or needs clarity they can ask her and she can ask us without us knowing who is inquiring. May require a little more work and attention. So far it has served us well - about another 100 days until the wedding!
Ugh I'm so bad at making sure I answer all questions before clicking reply 🤦🏻♀️. We set up our registry almost a year out. Definitely have it set up before you send invites. We got most of our registry items for my shower. We didn't have too many items as we have lived together and owned our house for 4 years. Our items were mostly upgrades (and an excuse for the Vitamix, Dyson, and amazing knives 😂). The completion coupon from BBB is definitely worth the actual registry - it's only exclusions are some baby items, unlike the regular coupon from them. We also had info for cash towards our honeymoon on our registry.
Also used MyRegistry and highly recommend it. We only synced one registry (Bed Bath and Beyond) but we loved adding items from various places all in one place! We added items from Crate & Barrel, Costco, The Bay, Amazon, and Cabela's. It also updated us when items were unavailable.
We used My Registry! Super easy and you can add from everywhere.
We set up a Bed Bath and Beyond and an Amazon registry and synced them to the My Registry. Then we added things from other online retailers like Home Depot, Ikea, and Etsy. We even added gift cards.
We used MyRegistry because you can sync registries from places like Bed Bath and Beyond but you can also just add items from any website you want. You can also add in a cash fund option.
Definitely start your registry well before the wedding. Most people will buy your gifts before then.
