My FH's sister got engaged (we're both in the bridal party), and then we got engaged not long after! (They are both in our party). It's going to be a busy year of wedding planning and I can't wait!

Very true! I do have a work friend getting married soon, so I am definitely keeping my ears and eyes open for what is happening, lol.

That's so exciting!!
We live pretty far from 95% of our family and friends, so it's a bit harder for us to share the moment with people who have gotten engaged recently. That being said, my FH's cousin and I do message each other about our planning once in a while.

We absolutely have similar personalities but I don’t know if that’s going to translate into wedding planning lol. I’ve noticed changes in myself since I began this process so it will be interesting to see if she experiences similar changes.

My date has been picked for a few weeks now but she thinks she’ll be doing it fall 2019 (versus my summer 2019). This is great because otherwise it would just be back-to-back weddings for us lol.

Thankfully our tastes are different enough that there’s going to be no overlaps of decor or colour schemes. I honestly like most things so my wedding colours could go any way, but she’s more particular than me so this will be very interesting!

Yay for your friend and that is super exciting! Most of friends are either married or looking so unfortunately no bride buddy for me.

Not quite the same situation but my best friend got married last August and we got engaged a month later, to be married this August. I was her MOH and she will be mine.

It's been absolutely fantastic because her and I have very similar bridal personalities (independent, low stress, reserved etc). So while my other bridesmaids are trying to see how they can help and ask for details (which is truly appreciated) she gets that I'm likely to do most things on my own and only ask for help for fun things so I don't feel like I'm bothering anyone. It's also really nice to not have to explain decisions to her because she likely would have made the exact same one.

- Do you think you will have similar personalities when it comes to planning? If not, maybe you will balance each other out where there are differences

- Have you both picked dates?

- Do you think you'll have similar decor ideas or colour schemes?

It's really great to have someone along for the journey with you and hope it all goes smoothly.

Congrats!!! One of my bridesmaids got married 1 month after me and we loved planning together!
