Backyard wedding

So we have a friend who has a giant backyard and we were thinking of doing our ceremony in the yard and reception elsewhere. My own concern is that there is not a lot of parking. Does anyone have any good ideas for transporting 150 people smoothly? Has anyone done this before?

    Thanks for checking in! we decided not to go with that option. We found a different venue but just battling with the selective dates they have!

    Hi Lerissa, were you able to solve your parking problem? Are you booking some mass transportation for your guests or have you found a nearby parking lot to borrow/rent?

    Are the ceremony and reception close?

    If so you could possibly have everybody park at the reception location and transport them to and from the ceremony location with school buses?

    Is there a school or any parks nearby that the guests can park and see if there is a bus that can transport them to the house.

    You can get a bunch of different modes of transportation ranging from school buses to party buses. Check out some local companies and see what they offer for large groups

    Try contacting local transportation companies and renting buses. Also, if you really want to save money, have the reception at the backyard too (if your friend is cool with that).

    Not much of a help as haven't been part of such a big transport. But would renting a few large party buses be feasible?
