I am in the issue of not being able to find a backdrop in our area that is the same length (30ft) as our head table. The best I can find is 24ft. Would it look stupid to have 3ft less of a back drop on each end of the head table?

I dont think it would look weird, if anything, as I assume with the longer table your party is with you, if anything the smaller backdrop will showcase you, the main couple more.
Even Hank's suggestion could be a nice filler.

I don't think it's odd but if you're bugged by it, you can always add something at the ends to even it back out, like a flower arrangement on a pedestal.

I don't think so! But another option could be to use 3 backdrops that are 10ft each? We couldn't find one that matched our head table which is 18ft long so we are doing 2 that are 2 that are 10ft long.
