We are not having a backdrop, our venue has a ton of charater I really want to showcase! (plus less things for me to have to bring and set up and need to get rid of after)

That make sense. I would do the same thing to make sure you have it ahead of time.

Our venue doesn't include full decor or backdrops but I do get to go through their warehouse to hunt for anything I'd like to use which is a big help. This is a great idea for photos just in case we have it green at the time of our wedding. Fallback

For us, we have not thought about the backdrop but I think (will check with the venue) if this is included with our decoration package.
