Bachelorette?

Jessica, on May 15, 2017 at 20:40 Posted in Before the wedding 0 17
Who's having a bachelorette or had one? I was thinking of a small spa day with the girls since I've sort of grown tired of the bar scene, any other unique suggestions for a girl who hates going out to the bars and getting sloshed lol

Hi Lisa! Actually i had my bachelorette in Ottawa since one of my bridesmaids is there and the rest of my party thought it would be a fun road trip to meet up there Smiley smile Not too sure where you could go for a café in Laval but maybe you can have some sweets in Montreal at a place like Cacao 70 or go for high tea Smiley smile I really liked le Salon de thé Cardinal on st-laurent. Gryphon d'or is in NDG good too Smiley smile Patrice Patissier on Notre Dame st. Is also very good!

Natalie! That sounds like a perfect bachelorette party to me! Would you mind giving me the details of cafe, where you tried the desserts etc? Most of my mom's family is on Laval and I thought I'll travel there and do something similar! I think it would be great!

Me and my girls actually aren't bar people but we love good food Smiley smile we spent the afternoon in a nice café trying different desserts and had a great supper in a hip restaurant. We filled the day with shopping trips and did an Escape the Room game which was super fun!

I was going to say no no no no to the bachelorette and bachelor parties. My FH and I aren't bar people anymore and all our friends and family are scattered across the country but a big group camping weekend might be fun if I can convince others.

We are having a joint one. We both aren't party goers or like to go to the bar, and neither does our wedding party, so we were thinking of just having a little get together a few days before the wedding, including our families. We aren't sure what we want to do yet but it will be something relaxing for sure.

We're trying to organize a joint 30th birthday/bachelorette for me in new york city. my bestie and i have been trying to go for ages, and failing. my bridal party is pretty small (best friend, my sister, FH's sister) and i've warned them all that that's the plan. we'll pick somewhere cheap to stay and make activities optional since my MOH and i have more expendable cash than the sisters. i've made it clear that its all optional and i can help out financially if they're worried. but i don't like to hit the fancy clubs or spa, so i don't think it'll be that expensive. mostly food walking tours and broadway themed dance classes Smiley smile. oh, and a cookie dough bar, thats mandatory.

We're going camping. It's something my close friends and I did every year but we haven't been able to get it together the last couple of years. It's now being resurrected for my stagette and we're all really excited. Plus, it's cheap!

Yeah budget was my main concern, last wedding I was in I ended up forking out over $300 for a weekend long bachelorette that I couldn't afford and it was stressful for all the girls, I don't want to put my friends in that position!

Love the paint night idea! I do love dancing but hate the bar scene as well. Spa days are great but they can pricey. My cousins fiancee is doing the same and it's $260 a person! So I think that's a bit steep for some. Especially if you are keeping budget in mind. Pedicure alone can run $60 or more. But a manicure party might be fun! Just may sure where you pick has the room to do multiple manicures at once in the same room! I had that happen at a corporate event I planned where we had over 20 ladies wanting Pedicures and they only had space for 12! So you don't want to have that surprise!)

Hi Jessica, That sounds super nice! I made 2 discussions with ideas to do on your bachelorette party: Choose what kind of bachelor party and Your Bachelorette Party. What could be nice is also a high tea or cooking class all together. Would you do it during the day or night? Let me know if you like it. Smiley love

A spa day sounds fun! We actually did a joint bachelor/bachelorette. My side went out to dinner and his side went out to a brewery and then we all met up and went to an improv show. It was so much fun! The improv players saw that we were dressed up for the bach party and actually did a skit about us! We had also thought about doing a wine and painting night but one of my sisters/bridesmaids was underage so I wanted to make sure she could be included. I've done them before though and they're lots of fun to do with friends and the paintings make great keepsakes!
