Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties during covid?

Hank, on August 28, 2020 at 18:39 Posted in Before the wedding 0 10
Just wondering what everyone might be doing for a bachelorette (and bachelors party for your gents) in the midst of covid. Even though bars are open, none of us really want to go especially when you see videos online of people not caring about anything other than their own pleasure.

We're thinking of renting a cottage to have some relaxing time by the lake for a weekend.

Lol that sounds like such a niagara party. Definitely did something similar in uni down there but we all sat hung over at Lester D’s at 8am on a Sunday trying to eat waffles and watching the Jungle Book.
The Icewine festival is a must do! We used to do it every year and the food pairings are amazing a lot of the time. Plus, now it’s three weekends so you could always reschedule if there’s a storm.

Mine won’t be until next August and hopefully Covid is a bit better by then...we’re doing a weekend in Niagara with wine tours and a weekend at a cool hotel!

He's not a party guy, so I sincerely doubt anything has been planned. I've suggested paintball, go karting, a videogames night, axe throwing, whiskey tasting. The list goes on for dayyyyyys.

I have no clue. I've gotten tired of asking him! I doubt he knows.

Good thing cases in the Maritimes are pretty controlled. What's your fiance doing?

Hmm, with my wedding in winter, I might be able to try ice wine if I go to Niagara.
My cousin who's one of the groomsmen lived in Niagara during university and he mentioned taking me there as a bachelor party option. But knowing him, it would've consisted of strippers followed by an all nighter at Fallsview and then the walk of shame at the flying saucer haha. At least we know that's not happening due to covid.

We're doing 2 nights in a hotel in a nearby city. The first night will be some shenanigans (panty games, never have I ever, etc.) And the second day is a winery tour followed by a classy night out.

I'm a little nervous about the hotel because a lot of people are using hotels to isolate for 14 days per NB guidelines. But the pubs and restaurants I've visited have been great with following rules.

We’re thinking of a wine tour. We used to work in NOTL and miss niagara wine since we moved, so we’re looking into the different protocols and seeing what will work.
