August ceremony at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir

Hi! My fiance and I are planning to have our wedding ceremony at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir on Aug 5, 2022 and wondering what the best time would be? I was thinking that a 4 pm ceremony would be ideal but curious to know what couples who have had their ceremony there already think? It's an open field so we're worried that the sun will be too bright - I don't want to blind my guests!

Thanks, Amanda and Lynnie. My photographer took the holidays off to spend time with her kids so I didn't want to bug her during that time. I've reached out to her now to confirm

Hi Gwen! I'd definitely recommend asking your photographer, and also checking out pictures from other weddings there!! I was able to find pictures from a few summer weddings there online and it didn't look like sun was an issue! 🤞

I would maybe talk to our photographer. Most of the time photographers know a lot more about the amount of sun during certain times of the day
