At what age are you getting married?

Both are happy, but it hasn't quite set in yet for either! The consent will definitely be awkward, but I know I have it atleast

We will both be 24

We will be getting married next March when I am 23 and he is 24. we will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary a few months before the wedding!

By the time we get married I'll be 27 and he'll be 26

We met at 19 and 20, engaged this summer at 22 and 23. This week we are celabrating our 23rd and 24th birthdays (he's the year older but our bdays are only a day apart) and we will be married Sept. 2018 at age 24 and 25. I cannot wait

It is nice his family can be there- but I'm not sure I would have been able to get past that, personally.

Now that your engagment is official are your parents at least on board? Maybe they can make the consent thing less awkward somehow.

It bothers me to no end! We were planning to get married earlier in September but we changed it so his family from Holland can be there.

Does that bother you? I think it would really bug me to get married and not be "allowed" to make the decision for myself.

Are you choosing the date because it has special significance, or you just don't want to wait until you are 19 and old enough to "decide"?

A pirate party sounds bomb

LOL yeah, I'm not a birthday person, but I'm pretty great at throwing parties- he got a pirate themed surprise party for his 30th. I guess he just wants to keep riding that train!

I thought BC law was a minimum age 19 to get married- will there be an extra requirement for you?

Haha damn! He saw right through your plan! We're the opposite and specifically picked a time between both of our birthdays because we like travelling around then every year anyways (to celebrate our birthdays, we made a deal when we first started dating to not buy presents for birthdays and go on a vacation together instead), so we wanted to be able to lump birthdays and anniversaries together!

I was 27 and my husband was 28 (and turned 29 a couple weeks after our wedding).

I will be 28 and FH will be 31, and his birthday is 2 weeks later. He was very particular that the wedding be far enough away from his birthday, so that I can't be sneaky and try to combine celebrations in the future

I'll be 29 and FH will have just turned 34 a few weeks before we get married (I'll be 30 a few weeks after the wedding).

I'll be 27 by then! Crazy to think as I'm 25 now. FH will be 30!
