More and more couples are choosing a song for the end of their reception to get guests on the dance floor one last time and close out the celebrations!

We had a "last dance" song since our DJ asked us about it. It was "Closing Time" by Semisonic and it was perfect lol.

Our DJ did a "final official dance". It was basically the final slow dance of the night. Then he played about 20 mins of dancing music, and closing time to end off the night.

I'll let my DJ worry about the play list. They are better judge about what yo play for people. Whatever last song has to end at 1am at the latest is all I know lol.

I went back and forth with this. I don't want to put a definitive end-time since some guests will leave earlier and I didn't want the last dance to be only a few people.
I also thought about having a slow dance but I don't want it to kill the party mode we'll be in by then lol

We did The way we did it though was we played one last really good dance song and then asked everyone to leave the dance floor and my hubby and I had a final slow dance together and it was so so special. We chose I get to love you by Ruelle ! most people had left at this point so it was very intimate and special for us.

I think we did, but honestly can't remember if they played it or not.
