Hmm, sounds like you're using a bigger hall that's split into two. I remember they had different halls on different levels, so they were totally separate.

When I did a site visit, we saw the halls had full walls between them and not partitions so that should help with the sound insulation. Not sure how well they sound proofed their walls during their recent reno but a fully attached wall will block sound much better than halls that use partitions to separate one room into multiple spaces.
