Any September 2020 brides post-poning due to Covid19?

Wondering if any couples for Sept 2020 have post-poned their wedding yet or when are you waiting until to decide? We have about half our guests that are travelling and flying in for our wedding.

Our wedding is (hopefully) on October 2.

When things started to get serious my fiance and I sat down and decided on a date when I am allowed to panic which is July. Until then I'm on pause, I don't want to book anything else or spend any more money.
My biggest worry is that my fiance's parents won't be allowed to cross the border from the states. If the border isn't open in July we will likely elope and have our reception later.

We moved ours from Sept. 6, 2020 to August 2021. The decision was certainly tough given the unpredictability of everything but there were a couple factors that went in to our decision

    1) The stress of the current situation on our friends and family- we knew this time was trying for a lot of our loved ones financially, emotionally, mentally, etc. and we wanted the wedding to be a celebration and in no way a burden or added stress

    2) Because everything is so unpredictable, it was hard to plan and continue the planning process and also, it was just straight up not fun planning anymore.

My heart goes out to you and to every bride making tough calls.

Yes I do, it was shipping in January, however I haven't picked it up from the store yet.

Awww... honestly only reason I’m not sending ours out yet is because they were expensive so if I have to redo it it would cost me around $1800... but if I have them and just have to change dates etc would cost around $300 just the cost of the material cost... we’ll see how everything goes I guess 😓

I was literally going to start a thread with the exact same question. Definitely curious as to what other September brides are doing since we are in that weird time of "still might be far enough away" and "might be in the middle of the second wave".

I haven't talked to my vendors yet but was likely going to reach out at the end of April/beginning of May to see what they say. We've got a couple people coming from UK so that's definitely a concern.

Trying not to freak out, but if I'm being honest I'm starting to get pretty worried. I'm worried that if we wait too late to postpone there will be much higher competition for dates for next year. Most of the articles I read keep saying to be open to a non Saturday wedding but that would mean my coworker and very good friend would not be able to attend since we both can't be off at the same time. Hopefully our weddings will not be effected and they go on as planned. It's this status of uncertainty that really sucks. Smiley sad

Ours is Sept 27, so just shy of 6 months. We’re waiting to reassess later because it’s too soon. We are hoping because China and Italy are starting to get better that we’ll be ok.

We're going to wait until July to reassess our plans. I don't think we'll cancel either way though; we'll likely just downsize our wedding if we have to.

Your safe until something is heard from the venue. Its good to hear your guests are planned for their travel. It would be bad for the couples right now to feel down and disappointed due to the pandemic time.

As of right now, no. It is still way too early to decide.
