Yea Nova Scotia weather can be so unpredictable! Halifax will be a destination wedding for the majority of our guests as well as they will be coming from other provinces.

We're planning on doing both ceremony and reception at the Westin downtown!

We've decided on a backyard wedding, at his parent's place, but I am quoting a tent because... Halifax. It's weird for me, because I am from Punta Cana, so I'm from a popular destination wedding spot, doing a destination wedding in Halifax haha.

This is the single reason why I will never be able to wrap my head around an outdoor wedding. I wanted one for my first wedding (ex and I got married in NL), and I couldn't get over my anxiety of "what if it...*insert weather event here*". So we had it indoors, and it was the most beautiful day ever. hah. Go figure.

This time around, we are having it indoors as well. Mainly due to how small it is, and the fact that it is a surprise wedding. Harder to convince people to show up to some random place outdoors in late September for a "family/friend get together", especially if the weather doesn't cooperate. hah!

The Lower Deck, we loved the location and the history of the venue. Now we just need a ceremony location that is just as nice.

I have heard nothing but amazing things about this place. In a perfect world we would have an outdoor ceremony but weather in NS is too unpredictable for March.

I've heard that location is quite beautiful for weddings. I've only heard wonderful things about it!

We are having our ceremony and reception all in one place at the Chocolate Lake Besy Western our ceremony is outdoor but they have a back up room included in case it rains 😊

We are having our wedding at the Saraguay house off of purcell's cove ceremony and reception in the same place beautiful views lots of space, big open windows, fire place, patio, woodwork and catering all in one.
