Alterations

I just went to a lady who does alterations in her home called The Bridal Fitting Room in the NW of Calgary. She seemed very knowledgeable and sweet and it is going to cost me about $300 for hemming, a bustle, adjusting straps and taking the waist in 1/2 and inch. Super affordable! I dropped my dress off yesterday and will go for a second fitting in July (my wedding is in August). So, I can't speak for her work yet but her reviews are great.

I have heard some horror stories about getting alterations at David's.

Not sure where in Calgary you are located, but there is a lady in Cochrane who is AMAZING!! She did some work on an outfit I bought for my BIL wedding, and was about $30. (Anika's Alterations)

Also, if you are not already, I'd join this facebook group and you could also ask for recommendations there. There are so many helpful people and vendors in that group!
