Alcohol for reception

Kirsten, on June 2, 2018 at 11:39 Posted in Wedding reception 0 4
I just wanted to get some input on how much alcohol you need for a wedding. We paid corkage at our hotel and are providing our own alcohol. We have 130 guests (20 are children) So far we have:

3 - 1.75L vodka
2 - 1.75L Rye
2 - 1.74L Rum
1 - 1.75L tequila
1 - 1.75L gin

8 cases coors light
8 cases Kokanee

24 bottles red wine
24 bottles white wine

Is there something we may need more of? We want to make sure we don’t run out.

I think it has to do a lot with what your guests actually drink... roughly 30 or so people at my wedding drink a lot of Budweiser and others prefer spiced rum and coolers so we’re trying to account for that haha. If you’re concerned I would recommend trying to talk to afew guests about their choice drink.

You can always return the alcohol if unopened to the LC - so maybe get a quick survey from the guests on what they would want to drink from your list and bring a couple bottles extra of it.

I’d at least over stock a little, especially if you have family that likes to drink!

It really all depends on what your guests prefer to drink. That should be good though for the amount of guests you have coming.
