Advice - reception

Adri, on January 7, 2020 at 21:46 Posted in Wedding reception 0 9
Hello to all Smiley smile

I'm really lost planning my wedding, we are going to have 55 persons (family and close friends only). Its better to do in a restaurant or rent only the space and find the suppliers?
Please give me your advice or experience,
Thank you!!!

Check st constantin. It's "clef en main" they have a beautiful chapel (I initially wanted it for the 4:30 but since I'm not having my reception there it was a no) the grounds are gorgeous for pictures, so you'll have everything in one place. I went to a wedding there and it was really nice (they just couldn't accommodate what we needed) they have decoration included.
Also golf st-Raphael, pretty place. But unsure if decorations is included

Whatever you choose. i would do a formal reception at a venue. some venues have smaller rooms you can rent. my friend had 60 ppl and she rented a venue on the lakefront and it was STUNNING

We are having 65 guests and will be doing a semi-private booking in a restaurant.

Like others have said, what I like about it is that you'd only need minimal decor (provided that the restaurant is already nicely decorated) and set-up/tear down. You can also try their food beforehand and most of the time, restaurants have way better food that caterers.

You can definitely do either way. We’re doing ours in a restaurant since we only have 32 people. We might be spending more but everything is taken care of and involves minimal setup.

For sure look into both - but from my experience it is only cheaper to do everything seperately if you have a large number of people attending your wedding (like 100+).

I would research both and see what you like best.

The wonderful thing about a restaurant is no set up, tear down, or extra work for you. Downside is you'll probably have limited menu choices and the layout might keep you farther from your guests than you might like.
You could look for a venue that allows outside catering or has a list of preferred suppliers. That would take away some of the work while still letting you customize the day with your decor and food and layout.
