We had a beautiful Banff wedding planned for this winter. We cancelled with the intention of rescheduling. That lasted for about 2 days before we decided just to get married. We planned everything in about 6 weeks and tied the knot last night. We had about 30 people at our wedding reception and then a different set of about 30 people who met us at a bar where we had rented a private space later on in the evening. We knew we couldn't have everyone in one spot at one time so we split it up more or less. It was dreamy and beautiful and perfect. I had the best day. However, a reporter showed up at our reception, completely uninvited. I'm not even sure how he got in as we were in a private room. He approached a few people before someone told me that he was there and I went over to talk to him. He said he wanted to write an article about planning and hosting a wedding during a pandemic and that he had been "tipped off" that we were having a wedding so he decided to invite himself in. He was slimy for sure. I didn't answer any questions and politely suggested he finish his drink and then leave. My husband's groomsmen were less polite and told him he could finish his beer elsewhere and to gtfo. (Not that it matters, but I found out afterward that he put his drink on my billl, jerk...). Anyone have any experiences like this?
