60 Days!!!

Megis, on June 3, 2018 at 20:02 Posted in Before the wedding 0 6

Just realized I have 60 days to decided and finalize the wedding details. Really feels like crunch time. So far got my dress, wedding license, decided on locations, got my shoes, sent out the invites.

Still have a ton of other stuff to get to and doing a lot of DIY.

How do you deal with stresses? Need advice so I don't go crazy.

I’m 50 or so days away and I feel ya! Today was my “get-er-gone day” and I still have so much to do.. I’m starting to include family and friends in my planning process and it does help to vent and get their advice.

Long baths with a bottle of wine and my laptop on netflix( I leave it on the floor off to the side of the bath and make sure I climb out on the other side as not to get it wet) or a book on my kindle(I've reread a lot of Harry Potter in the bath)! Keep refilling the hot water until you feel ready to get out.

Also start on small tasks. Get a bunch of little this crossed off your list (An actual paper list is good for this) The more you cross off the better you feel. Then you can come back and work on the bigger tasks when you're feeling good.

I created a spreadsheet where I put the item to get done, and gave myself a due date. Doing this allowed me to space things out but not forget anything.

It also helped me cut out anything that really wasn't worth doing or ask other people to help with a task.

Making a checklist helps to ensure everything is completed and your diys can be put aside for decor.

Any favours bagged or attached with name cards bagged ready to go.

    Photographer list for shots needed.

Bags on my end were sorted based on what was being set up as all things arrived in mail.

I got 103 days left. So far I'm calm and stress free as I've learned to Just take it one day at a time. Breath and make sure you take a day off from wedding plan. Since it's summer, perhaps attend some summer festivals and forget wedding planning for the day. You can also ask your wedding party if they'll be able to help you go through the last minute details of the wedding etc.
